North American Students who are interested in learning beyond the limits of their textbooks should embrace the opportunity to study abroad at one of the ﬁve universities of Campus OWL. Students can take courses in a wide variety of study ﬁelds, experience practice-integrated programs or do an internship in a renowned company or a SME. They can choose between studying at universities or at universities of applied sciences. The Campus OWL universities have a wide range of study programs and hands-on and real-world opportunities for students from abroad. The following overview includes short-term summer courses and direct exchange as well as a brief overview of the Alberta OWL cooperation.
In addition, the Campus OWL liaison office offers 3-month internships for students, studying at one of the OWL universities. The intern works closely with the Executive Director in the Campus OWL office in the German House in New York and is responsible for a variety of research, administrative and creative functions.
Each year hundreds of international students come to the Campus OWL universities from partner universities around the world. Studying abroad for a semester is a great experience from which you benefit in many ways, both personally and professionally.
Direct exchange students must be nominated by one of the partner universities. The first step is therefore to apply for an exchange place in the international office at your home university. After successful nomination you will be contacted by the OWL partner university.

Summer courses in OstWestfalen Lippe are open to all students who want to take advantage of a unique and diverse selection of courses from a research university and a university of applied sciences.
These programs are smart ways to gain international experience in an academic setting during the summer.
